About G&J Peck Ltd

G & J Peck Ltd is an employee owned agricultural machinery distributor founded in 1846, by father and son George and John Peck. Within the Ely complex there is a large modern retail store offering a wide range of goods and services including a Garden Machinery and Horticultural Equipment Centre, supplying and servicing a wide range of both domestic and professional equipment. The Showroom offers a quality range of top brands of lawncare, garden machinery and horticultural equipment as well as country clothing, footwear, tools and DIY accessories, to name just a few. Pecks continues to run a steel store as a nod to our roots. The store is open 6 days a week.

What will you be doing?

The Horticultural service co-ordinator will be responsible for organising the daily activities of two engineers carrying out repairs to a range of Ground care and Horticultural equipment for domestic and commercial use. The role involves dealing with customers to book in repair and organise collection / return of machines to the depot for repairs. Discussing with customers repair options and pricing repairs. Customer contact will be face to face at the in-store counter, and via phone and emails. Raising customer invoices and warranty claims from job cards. Collecting customer payment before delivery. Organising and implementation of our seasonal winter service programme.

You will work closely with other members of the Horticultural department, offering support with parts and sales enquiries.

Providing excellent customer service.

Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to and that robust systems are in place to protect the business.

What will you need?

You will need experience of working in a repairs and maintenance industry and organising a seasonal workflow. You will need to have good people skills, being confident in communicating with both customers and colleagues, and have experience managing the performance of a team.

Hours

Rota working Monday to Friday 8.00 – 17.30 (1 hour lunch)

Alternate Saturdays 8.00 – 17.00 (1 hour lunch)

22 days holiday, bank holiday working rota
