The Role

We are looking for a vehicle technician to join our Vehicle and tyre department based at our Ramsey depot.  This position would suit an experienced vehicle technician that has a range or experience covering Cars, 4×4 and commercial vans.   The role is to carry out routine service work, MOT prep work, diagnose faults, repairs and breakdowns to company and customer vehicles.  The role is based at the Ramsey depot with the requirement to travel to our other sites to carry out required work in our other workshops across the 6 depots in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.  There would be requirement to support other team members within the Vehicle and Tyre Department.  You will be dealing with internal and external customers.

Ideal Experience:
Experience within the motor trade industry would be an advantage but not essential as training is provided.  Truck and commercial service engineering experience is transferable.

  • Knowledge of cars and trucks or transferable skills.
  • Ability to diagnose technical faults.
  • Use IT system to diagnose faults.
  • Using mobile app to Complete job cards to high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Can do attitude to resolve issues.
  • Follow the company’s health and safety policy and procedures always.
  • Full driver’s licence.
  • Confident communication skills to internal and external contacts.

Summary Information
39 hours per week Monday to Friday plus overtime.
